& Cape May County

Finally! The Bridge-Causeway Project will be completely finished. The final phase includes the opening of the Route 52 Walking/ Biking Trail – about 2 miles long – from Ocean City to Somers Point (in Atlantic County).  The structure includes a fishing pier, boat ramp, and Welcome Center – plus it all comes with spectacular views.

The Ocean City Beach and Boardwalk are in great shape and the beaches are being replenished or widened where needed.

Here’s a March 31 report on the project from our local Internet news source, OC PATCH. [].  In addition, we will post current information and/or photos as often as possible on Scarborough Inn social media sites. Remember our Bed & Breakfast offers complimentary beach tags for your use during your stay at the inn.

History Buffs, there are a number of fascinating places to visit throughout Cape May County.  For example, there’s a living history museum that showcases life in a typical South Jersey town during “the age of homespun” (1789-1840).  In addition, if you are fascinated by the history of flight circa World War II, there’s a local museum for that, too.  And, of course, you can visit (and climb) iconic structures of our coastal environment.  Here are links that offer details about:

Historic Cold Spring Village –

Aviation Museum –

Hereford Inlet Lighthouse -

and the Cape May Lighthouse -
