Romantic bedroom decorating is an ongoing project – and joy – at the historic Scarborough Inn. How do we seamlessly incorporate modern amenities with the romantic decor guests associate with an historic bed and breakfast? We make it an ongoing commitment! This winter, two of our largest suites are undergoing redecoration with these goals in mind.
The Cafagiola Suite has a king-size bed, jetted tub, sitting area, and in-room Coffee Bar. It is being re-painted ivory to lighten and brighten this spacious, top floor guest room. New bed coverings, coordinating drapes, and classically-themed pictures will be used to beautify this suite – named for an Italian villa. Luxurious, satiny fabrics with enormous Cabbage Roses in rich (yet subtle) shades of rose, mauve, and forest on a golden background will dress the bed. The soothing, traditionally-themed bedding will be accented with an unexpected modern check fabric. This romantic suite includes a variety of modern amenities – like the new flat screen TV.
The Chelsea Suite is nearly the largest in the Scarborough Inn. To the luxury of spaciousness, add the romance of a queen-sized Pencil Post bed, sitting area with love seat and bistro table with chairs, Scarborough Inn robes, and in-room Coffee Bar and you have the perfect setting for romance and relaxation. The new decor includes an exuberant print in cream, soft blue, and cranberry, paired with a coordinating striped fabric. As it is in all Guest Rooms, wireless Internet access is provided – a modern amenity to complement the vintage charm of this lovely suite.
When making reservations for your next visit to the Scarborough Inn, we can help you select one of our individually decorated, romantic, and beautifully appointed Guest Rooms – a welcome alternative to typical hotel or motel accommodations. And you may choose a room that matches your budget, too!
