It’s a sure sign of Fall when Ocean City residents and visitors get involved in our annual Halloween celebration – that literally – lasts for days! The first signs of the season are the cornstalks and mums that festoon the Boardwalk and Downtown Ocean City giving the entire city a festive appearance.
And then the Special Events begin!
October 27 – annual Halloween Parade down Asbury Avenue
October 28 – “Poe Evermore” – a candlelit performance of some of Edgar Allan Poe’s most chilling stories at the OC Repertory Theater (Saturday night also), 8PM, admission $10.
“Lost at Sea” – a costume party at the Flanders to benefit C.A.P. (Community Art Project – a local organization that beautifies public spaces with art), 7 to 11PM, $65. per person.
October 29 – Trick-or-Treat in the Downtown – 2 to 4PM on Asbury Avenue from 6th to 11th Streets
October 30 – Trick or Trot – a 5k run plus 1-mile fun walk sponsored by the Upper Township Soccer Association beginning at 7:30AM in front of the Ocean City Music Pier.
“Something Wicked This Way Comes” – featuring selections from the award-winning Broadway musical, Wicked at the OC Repertory Theater, 8PM, Admission $10./ $5. if you’re in costume.
October 31 – Trick or Treat in Ocean City from 5 to 8PM (children should be accompanied by adults)
